Heather and Sherri met in Athens, GA, in 1990.  A love of music and nonsensical humor solidified their friendship and the start of their first band, UDDER.

Heather comes from a long line of percussionists. Her father, brother and both sons are all drummers. Her oldest son, Brody Taylor Smith, is the drummer for the metalcore band Invent Animate. 

​

After UDDER's original breakup in '92, Sherri played in several bands in Athens, GA, including Hall of Fame (with drummer, Joe Rowe from The Glands and Jeff Matthews from JackoNuts). Dr. Cup (with Stephen Tanner from Harvey Milk and Andres Solar from Daisy) and Sweet Rooster (with Kim Rowe from Ray Ugly and Chief Ruiz from Space Cookie.)

UDDER briefly reunited in 2025 to release a 3 song EP and play a handful of shows.  The EP received much acclaim from VICE magazine, and Maximum Rock n Roll among others.  

 

Lotti and Carter disbanded UDDER in 2026 to form their latest band, IMPERIAL FRIEND. They are currently working on new songs with their guitarist, Marissa Jones.
